All the Summer Items I Bought Because of Instagram

I can't seem to keep my fast little fingers from scrolling and swiping this season. This is all thanks to Instagram, of course—I'm currently dealing with major summer sensory overload as I swipe through photos of my favorite fashion muses frolicking in Italy to images of juicy fresh fruit laid perfectly next to chic straw bags on picnic blankets at the beach. Unquestionably, Instagram has also inspired some of my favorite purchases of the season, from seashell jewelry to beaded bags. To save you ample time scrolling (and to buy you more time basking in the sunshine), take a peak at some of the most stylish summer items blowing up on Instagram.

"Naked" Sandals

Sensuous, strappy, and barely there, "naked" sandals have been seen on fashion girls all over Instagram. Think of them as the equivalent of the slip dress.

Transparent Accessories

I can't get enough of transparent accessories. Mostly because of their versatility—you can wear them with practically every outfit, as they don't have a color to clash with.

Little White Dress

Summer simply doesn't feel like, well, summer without an effortless little white dress.

Seashell Jewelry

This beachy summer trend has been blowing up my Instagram feed, and I can't seem to get enough. I'm layering on multiple shell necklaces for a statement look.

Beaded Bags

It's time to trade your leather purse for a beaded beauty instead. Beaded bags can vary in price, but there are some decently priced finds to be had that will add just the right of-the-moment touch to your outfit.

Buttons

I have a weakness for buttons. There's something about their simple yet sophisticated look that wins me over every time. I've bought two button-front dresses for summer—one for the weekend and one for work.

Colored Sunglasses

Nothing says fun in the sun like a pair of tropical-colored sunglasses. This season's bright, bold shapes come in an array of silhouettes to suit every taste and face shape.

Rainbow Stripes

From dresses to jewelry and strappy sandals, rainbow-colored stripes are reigning supreme this summer. I've picked up multicolored bracelets for some serious arm candy, as well as vibrant shoes to add some extra oomph to my outfits.

The Floral Print Dress

A breezy floral dress will never go out of style; they're perfect for every day-to-night summer activity. Wear yours with sandals, white sneakers, or wedge espadrilles, and transport yourself to the South of France, Italy—wherever your heart desires.

Puff Sleeves

Charming puff sleeves continue to be a hit among fashion girls on social media. There are plenty of cool blouses and dresses to be had—it's time to channel your inner romantic!

Up next, six big trends I'm way too excited about.
