To be honest, one of the best parts of my job is being surrounded by stylish people who give me endless outfit inspiration. On a recent trip to New York, I met up with my friend and fellow fashion editor, Jasmine Fox-Suliaman, for a quick lunch in the city. Before she could even sit down, I was already bombarding her with questions about her outfit (typical). She was wearing the cutest white dress and black slides, and I knew I had to immediately order both of the delightfully neutral pieces. Where did she find them? The Style Room, a microsite powered by Zappos where you can find a highly curated selection of the season’s biggest trends (such as matching sets and pearls) from the most sought-after designers as well as inspiration for how to wear them. And luckily for me, Jasmine even showed me a few more recent outfit snaps from her camera roll with pieces she’s snagged from the retailer. It's safe to say I’m obsessed. "In my mind, summer is incomplete without at least one white dress you can live in for the season, and I'm sure I found mine with this En Saison dress. I love everything about this dress including the ruched bodice, the puff sleeves, the mini bows, and the lightweight fabric. Because it's such a stunning dress, I let it do the heavy lifting for the outfit and kept the styling simple. I added a long pearl necklace and pearl hoops because no summer jewelry arsenal is complete without them. And then, to keep the outfit practical, I paired them with a cute Tory Burch slide. In New York, you always need a great flat sandal in the summer." — Jasmine Fox-Suliaman, fashion editor
"I can see myself throwing this outfit on to shop in Soho on a Saturday or for a picnic with friends in Washington Square Park. These slides are ideal for summer, and I honestly don't know how I was living without them before." — Fox-Suliaman

"The best thing about summer in New York is the idea of a balmy night out—maybe booking a reservation at a trendy restaurant or securing tickets to a broadway play. So I always love to have one statement dress on hand that's perfect for a special night out, and this Norma Kamali gown is my new go-to." — Fox-Suliaman
"In terms of styling, I wanted to try on the green version of this gown because saturated hues are one of my favorite trends, and summer is the perfect time to embrace a pop of color. For the color adverse, this gown does come in more neutral hues, but I found the key to making a brightly tinted dress work comes down to pairing it with neutral accessories. I chose to pair it with this cute Marc Jacobs cream crossbody chain bag because the bag is perfect for a night out and is a great neutral to pair with green. Plus, this bag is so cute and can be worn every day, not just for special occasions. I also wanted to pair it with a fun heel, so I landed on these stunning woven, chocolate-brown Tony Bianco mules. I love this outfit because it really embodies what summer style should be all about—merging function and fashion in a fun way." — Fox-Suliaman

"My secret to looking great all summer long (despite New York City's sweltering heat) is to have a few go-to lightweight dresses on hand for any moment. What I loved about this outfit is that while it looks like a dress, it's a two-piece set, which taps into the hype around sets right now and allows you to style the pieces separately for other occasions. I'm still obsessed with the art-inspired print trend that came out of F/W 21 collections, and the classic black and white iteration of this set feels elevated enough to become a part of my summer capsule wardrobe." — Fox-Suliaman
"When it came to styling the set, I wanted it to feel formal enough (but still fun) to wear to collection previews in Midtown, so I dressed it up with a square-toed mule. These shoes were incredibly comfortable, but the shape strikes the perfect balance between trendy and timeless. And finally, to break up the color palette, I wanted to add a fun shoulder bag, so I landed on this cute one from Kate Spade. I've been dying to get my hands on this bag for a while now, and I was not disappointed by it. I love the vibrant color and that it comes with multiple chain straps, so you can switch up how you style it." — Fox-Suliaman
