Breaking out a trench coat after months of enduring below-freezing temperatures and mounds of snow is a life-changing experience. Okay, that may be a bit of an overstatement, but it's just so satisfying to finally ditch all of those heavy puffers in lieu of something lighter. For that, I already have an assortment of trench coats in mind that I'm itching to slip into. There's a reason why a trench is a staple topper among stylish people everywhere–it's an extremely versatile piece that manages to instantly elevate even the most low-key of outfits. 

Shopping for a new trench coat is basically my rite of passage into full-on spring, so count me excited to dive headfirst into online browsing.
