While the S/S 21 season was certainly different given the current climate with a few socially distanced runway experiences and more intimate appointments, digital events, and lookbook shoots, the collections were nothing short of inspiring. In fact, it’s the vibrant colors that were injected throughout the lines that were particularly mesmerizing. While the hues in question really do run the gamut, there were a few standouts that are bound to make a serious impact in 2021.
With all this in mind, keep scrolling to check out the biggest color trends that we think will dominate this year, complete with inspiration from the S/S 21 collections. And you certainly don’t need to wait to shop the trends. We also mapped out inspired picks throughout so you can get a jump-start on testing out these covetable color trends.
That sunny hue gets softer for spring in a more subdued shade. But sad it is not—this tint will jazz up any ’fit, whether you go for a yellow top, dress, or accessories.
As one of the biggest color trends sprinkled throughout a range of S/S 21 collections, this poppin’ pink hue will hold strong throughout the season. The bold hue comes in a variety of shades, but think in-between neon and a more pastel color.
This eye-catching color that’s sort of purplish-red turned up in collections from Isabel Marant to Rotate. While there are varying shades of magenta on the spectrum (some skewing more purple, some more pink or red), injecting this color into your offering will instantly elevate your wardrobe.
This vibrant orange color has been around for a few seasons now and turned up in a noteworthy way again for spring. Whether worn in the form of a bold outerwear pick or in a luscious knit, this hue will be a go-to for many.
You know the color of a tennis ball? Kind of neon in a yellow and green tint? Well, as designers from Balmain to David Koma highlighted, that striking color will be making the rounds in the spring offerings. So get ready.
