The 7 Biggest Color Trends We'll All Be Wearing in 2020
While we may be living in our wooly sweaters, coats, and boots right now, luckily we have the spring 2020 runways to uplift us with a glimpse of what trends we have to look forward to when we can bask in the sun once again. The runways showcased a plethora of chic styles to sink our teeth into next year, but we’re particularly enamored with the color trends that stood out and will no doubt be all over our Instagram and on every cool fashion girl in just a months time.
Pantone Color Institute summed up the S/S 20 color trends as "friendly and relatable" in that they convey a sense of ease. Spring 2020's color palette "infuses heritage and tradition with a colorful youthful update that creates strong multi-colored combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the institute.
From bold fiery reds to classic blues, vivid saffron to unexpected aqua shades, below we’re sharing the seven biggest color trends you’re about to see everywhere. Get ahead of the curve by shopping the hues right now.

3. Biscay Green
Last spring we saw pistachio and lime green hues dominate our feeds. This year, it's all about a cool and refreshing aqua shade. This is definitely one of the most unexpected yet dominant shades we saw on the runway. Wear it with any shade of pink for the prettiest springtime look.

4. Coral Pink
Combining the warmth of coral with the delicacy of pink, this soothing, feminine hue is chic to wear both day and night—perfect for evening affairs when it comes in textured fabrics, such as silk, sequins, and tulle.

5. Saffron
The vivid shade of orangey-yellow adds a bold touch to your outfit exuding an optimistic outlook. The runways showcased the flavorful shade in head-to-toe looks.

6. Chive
Another shade of green for good measure! But this time the shade is much darker, richer and herbaceous. Chive actually serves as a great neutral hue and pairs beautifully with a plethora of colors— especially saffron. Give it a go in luxury leather as seen on the runways.

7. White
It wouldn't be spring or summer without a heavy dose of white to get us in the warm-weather mood. And the S/S 20 runways were replete with head-to-toe blanc looks—varying in textures and shades from subtle oyster mushroom to brilliant and bright white. You'll never go wrong with the neutral shade in any fabrication from satin to lace.
