4 Wardrobe Staples That Actually Make Me Want To Get Dressed in the Morning
I'd be lying if I didn't admit that in the daily morning battle I have between staying in my pajamas and get properly dressed, pajamas end up winning most of the time. I love getting dressed up as much as the next person, (I work in fashion, after all) but comfort always prevails, especially when most of our time is being spent at home anyways. But regardless of all that, there are still certain mornings where I resist the pajama urge, put an outfit together, and feel both comfortable and polished. Almost always, the look is comprised of a few staples that I always come back, which I'll be sharing today.
From matching sets to cozy knits, what I gravitate to in the morning can be pretty simple, but that doesn't mean that they can't make for a fashionable ensemble. It can be hard to find stylish that also feel long-lasting and comfortable, but our namesake line has got you covered with all the pieces you'd need, all under $50 of course. Keep scrolling to find my go-staples below along with shoppable options from our latest drop of Who What Wear Collection and some outfit inspiration to make it easier to get dressed in the morning.
1. Matching Sets
If there's one staple that I've invested in since starting working from home, it's matching sets. They're comfortable and effortless but still make you look and feel put together.
2. Printed Tops
Printed tops are easy to style around, as they act as the center of the outfit, and all you need to do is pair with simple basics like a blazer or pair of jeans to complete the look.
3. Easy Dresses
I love to call dresses a "one-stop outfit" because there's not much styling involved, especially with the more loose-fitted and airy ones that essentially feel like wearing a nightgown.
4. Cozy Knits
If I'm going to be changing out of my pajamas in the morning, a cozy knit is something I won't mind getting into. Whether it's a vest, oversized sweater, or a cardigan, it's a staple that I'm not ready to move on from once the weather gets warmer.
