The Spring 2022 Sneaker Trends—I See You, and I Like You
I don't know about you, but my footwear offering wouldn't be complete without a few solid pairs of sneakers. Sure, I love great pairs of loafers and boots, for example, but it's those trusty trainers that are the real go-tos for me thanks to their comfortable, cool, and easy nature. So naturally, I'm always down to chat about trending styles. And below, you'll find just that. Yep, I'm talking about the spring 2022 sneaker trends.
The sneaker trends in question run the gamut. Some of the styles have been favorites for many over the last few seasons and will continue to rise in popularity. There are other silhouettes that feel particularly fresh. All in all, I'm into the finds coming your way. Keep scrolling for more, complete with a range of shopping inspiration if one of the spring trends catches your eye.
Retro-Inspired Sneakers
I couldn't kick off this trend guide without highlighting retro-inspired sneakers first. Whether it's throwback kicks from the '90s or something that feels old-school in general, this silhouette (with New Balance and Nike at the forefront) will continue to reign supreme for spring 2022.
Platform Sneakers
We saw the chunky "dad-inspired" sneakers hold strong in past seasons. Well, it's the platform sneakers specifically that will be popular this season if you're looking for something with an elevated sole.
Performance Sneakers
Athletic sneakers are more of a staple than a trend, but it's about wearing athletic sneakers outside of the gym here. These performance kicks look forward and cool teamed with more polished separates, like in this ensemble.
Casual White Sneakers
Okay, casual white sneakers are more a classic silhouette than a trend, per se. That said, we'll continue to see fresh iterations of this clean sneaker style come spring—worn with everything from skirts to jeans. Also, it's the low-top silhouettes that will be most noteworthy.
Multicolored Sneakers
Want to make a statement? Don't underestimate the power of an eclectic pair of sneakers featuring bold color-blocking. Very fun.
