Adopt These Shoe Trends Before Everyone Else Does
While black is certainly a classic, I'm ready for more colour as we roll into summer and there's no better way to add colour (or character) than by the shoes you wear. To kick off a spring clean, there have been three quirky shoe trends on my mind as of late and it's only a matter of time before they all end up in my wardrobe.
So for now, I'm packing away the closed in shoes that have been on rotation (the trainers, the loafers, and the ankle boots) and incorporating these trend pieces to bring life into my spring/summer fabrics such as linen, cottons and satins. The three key shoe styles are wearable not only on the weekends but also in the office. The good news is each style favour comfort and ease, something that is my #1 priority when shoe shopping.
Keep scrolling to shop the three styles that are going to be big this spring.
The Embellished Slide:
If Birkenstock's aren't your thing, then embellished slides certainly will be. Opt for jewelled and metallic slides to make a statement, and keep your eyes peeled for pairs with pearl embellishments this season, which is also trending.
The Heeled Sandal:
The chic, minimalist '90s trend of heeled sandals is here to stay. Choose a bold colour over neutrals this season and be prepared to wear them with everything—from new season obsessions (silk robe dresses), to the classics (midi skirts).
The Pastel Mule:
The humble mule in ice-cream shades are another trend on the spring radar. Best paired with washed denims and fresh white linens, be prepared for plenty of compliments.
