I'm Telling Everyone I Know to Try These Easy Spring 2021 Outfit Ideas
Given my role as a fashion editor, my friends and family often routinely hit me up for style guidance each season. Recently, one of my friends asked if there was a simple yet chic outfit idea she should try this season. She specifically said, "I want something fashion-y, but easy—something that your most stylish colleagues would even wear.” I had a few ideas for her based on some of my recent IG outfit research.
Naturally, I wanted to share the top outfit idea with you (the first one below), along with a range of other ensembles that I plan on telling everyone I know to try if they ask for recommendations. All in all, the looks in question are all quite simple in nature, but have that fashion-forward twist as well. They’re also primarily made up of basics and just a few of those trendy items. Intrigued? Keep scrolling for more—you may just find a new spring uniform with what’s coming your way.
This is the first look I recommended to my friend—it's simple yet effortlessly chic. Wearing a cardigan as a top is trendy with bootcut or slightly flared jeans. Sneakers complete the silhouette.
Need a comfy yet polished vibe? Try a slouchy blazer with a basic top and trendy split-hem leggings.
A white T-shirt is always no-fail. Consider teaming your favorite style with a pair of forward leather trousers. A sweater wrapped around your shoulders brings even more dimension to the look.
It's no secret that a sweatsuit is a staple these days. For a layered look, toss on a maxi trench coat.
Sweater vests are all the rage right now, and look great layered or on their own. Go for one with loose jeans, and you're good to go.
This look is relaxed yet incredibly sharp and elevated with the blazer and blouse.
A chunky cardigan over a maxi dress is pretty and perfect for the season.
