5 of the Prettiest Spring 2019 Shoe Trends, Period

Sock boots, toe-ring sandals, chunky sneakers—shoe trends this year have proven that not all footwear fads are necessarily the most flattering on your feet. And though we proudly march around town in our dad sneakers, that doesn't imply there's no room remaining for some prettier pairs to add to the mix. After all, a great shoe is like a piece of art. Often it's ambiguous, other times it's thought-provoking, and sometimes it's downright breathtaking.

We rounded up five of the prettiest most breathtaking shoe trends for 2019 that we simply can't wait to wear. From a pair of heels that resemble a glass slipper (no ball gown required) to an artful pattern that'll make getting from point A to point B way more fun, the 25 shoes below will get you on the right foot for the New Year.

I Love Your Lucite

This certainly isn't the first we've seen of this trend. PVC footwear has been on our minds for a while now, but it seems every brand is doing its own interpretation of lucite next year, and we want in on the see-through action.

Magic Carpet

Swap out your florals for an enchanting textile on a block-heel sandal or bejeweled mule. It takes any outfit up a notch.

Take a Bow

You're never too old to put a bow on it. This charming embellishment adds a touch of sweetness to whatever it's bestowed upon, and for 2019 let's make it a shoe.

Colorblock

Why choose just one color when you can have more? A pair of color-block heels is the perfect way to bring more energy into your look. Low lift, high impact.

Pop of Pastel

Is there anything more springlike than pastel? Though we tend to wear the milky hues with a pretty sweater or pair of trousers, this time around a pair of shoes feels fresh and fitting.
