But alas, there seems to be a general consensus among celebrities lately that it's time for a new one. Extremely stylish It girls like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Emily Ratajkowski, and now Gigi Hadid are wearing split-hem leggings, which are basically long leggings with a slit at the ankle that gives them a flared appearance.
So what's the draw? Well, they're just as comfortable as your favorite athletic leggings, but they're much easier to dress up. Plus, the opening at the hem means that you can wear them with even boots or bulky sneakers without them bunching up.
