I Love to Get All Dressed Up—These 41 Items Are Perfect for a Special Occasion
One of my favorite things about living in New York City is that you don't need a reason to get all dressed up for a night out. Honestly, it doesn't matter where you live. If you ask me, you never really need an excuse to be fabulous. But living in New York, I get to dress up on a weekly basis, and I wouldn't have it any other way. This summer especially—with all of the events, weekends away, vacations, weddings, and nights out in the city—I have never had so many opportunities to get all dressed up.
This has, of course, led to an increase of mini hemlines, two-piece sets, bold accessories, and statement dresses in my wardrobe. It's safe to say I've stepped up my game when it comes to my special-occasion looks, whether it's a wedding, a black-tie event, a friend's birthday celebration, or a night out on vacation. When I shop, I always keep an eye out for a new addition to my growing collection, and before I know it, my cart is overflowing with items that I can't wait to wear.
