This Dramatic Sonia Rykiel Runway Tribute Will Touch Your Heart
We always look forward to the Sonia Rykiel runway during Paris Fashion Week. However, this season in particular struck a chord with us due to the iconic designer’s recent passing, at the end of August. To commemorate Madame Rykiel, a line of models dressed in sweaters spelling out “Rykiel Forever” lined up in front of the showgoers and then proceeded to walk the runway. As well, after the entire collection was shown and the finale of last looks began, glittering confetti fell from the ceiling, bringing the show to an uplifting and dramatic end.
See below to watch it in action and to also click through each runway look.
