Every "Soft" Trend I'm Buying Into Right Now (and How to Wear Each)
Given that we've been spending more time at home with the current situation, "soft" trends have been of particular note to complete an A+ wardrobe. Here I'm talking about those of-the-moment pieces that are comfortable and act as the foundational elements to create an especially cozy outfit. While there are front-runners like leggings and such, there are actually five specific items I'm into at the moment that are just so enjoyable thanks to their plush and forward nature.
To showcase these "soft" trends a bit further, I rounded up how some of my favorite fashion follows are currently wearing the items in question for a bit of visual inspiration. Below, you may just find an item or an outfit idea that could work flawlessly for a lounge session at home, a Zoom chat, or for a masked-up errand run. With all that in mind, keep scrolling for more—those comfy items await.
Oversize Cardigan
In the sweater realm, it's those oversize knits—like this slouchy cardigan—that are trend-forward and also highly comfortable also. Team one with your favorite pants, and you're set.
Sweatsuit
You can't deny the power of a legit sweatsuit to keep it cozy yet also chic. I love this exact 'fit with the sweats, a puffer, and colorful sneakers.
Pull-On Shorts
Comfy shorts—including knit iterations like this—are especially chic with other layered knits and flat shoes.
Knit Pants
Yes, sweat joggers are a key item in the "cozy" trend world, but knit pants—either ribbed or in a plush sweater material—are also where it's at. Especially when you wear them with an equally comfortable top.
Tube Socks
Tall socks are basically my go-to accessory these days. Soft and comfy. This specific pair is from the MOTHER x I am a voter line.
