Sofia Richie Just Wore Winter's #1 Coat Trend in the Most Low-Key Way

This season has felt overrun with new trends. From fresh takes on denim to coveted jumper styles, each week we're taking stock of what the fashion-forward are favouring, and we've found ourselves brimming with inspiration. Though we've come across so many tempting trends, several key silhouettes have risen above the rest, stealing those top spots of the season's most covetable pieces. Amongst these special few is the brown coat. This season, celebrities including Kaia Gerber and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have swapped their camel and beige coats for styles in rich chocolate tones, favouring the new-season shade.

Most recently, certified style icon Sofia Richie Grainge was spotted in Beverly Hills wrapped up in The Row's Polli Wool-Blend Jacket (£1659). Whilst the cover-up comes in classic black and mellow taupe, Richie Grainge opted for the rich, chocolatey iteration for her walk in L.A. The elevated neutral shade layers beautifully with lashings of gold jewellery and tonal bases for an instantly rich-looking outfit. For that reason alone, brown coats have shot way up on our wish lists this season.

Wearing hers with black wide-leg trousers, Richie Grainge completed her casual look with tonal brown boots from The Row. The heavy-soled cult boots added a tough edge to her casual outfit, which was dressed up with the addition of a green tweed bag from Chanel and dark sunglasses.
