I Never Thought I'd Wear Leggings as Pants Again—Until Now
What an opportune time for leggings to make a comeback, amirite? But really, we've seen slit-hem styles (both in the front and on the sides of leggings) bubbling up for a while now, and the trend seems to be at the point where even I—who probably hasn't worn leggings as pants in five or more years—am itching to hop on board. From celebs like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gigi Hadid to the Instagram and street style stars we love, it's been all over my feed and now, in my cart, too.
They're even starting to take the place of jeans, and I can honestly say I haven't seen leggings look this chic and polished in years. Aside from that and the obvious from the comfort factor, however, one of the best things about this comeback is that whether you want to spend less than tens or hundreds of dollars, there's a pair for you. To see how the aforementioned ladies and more are wearing them and to shop all the best slit-hem leggings along the way, just keep scrolling.

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. Upon joining, she was a senior about to graduate from business school at USC. Fast-forward to 2025, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was just starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content and her Trust Me—Buy This newsletter. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to neutral, classic pieces but will always make an exception for something colorful or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a party is dressing up for one. On her downtime, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
