The Two-Piece Outfit Trend That's Already Defining Fall Style
Head-to-toe knit outfits are just one of the outfit trends that is set to define fashion this fall. There are plenty of ways to wear cool knitwear right now—from ribbed dresses to shrugs to fun cardigans—but one of my favorite styles is the skirt sets that have been popping up everywhere recently. Undeniably easy to wear, a bit sexy, and cool, there's really nothing better than throwing on one of these duos and calling it a day.
Whether you opt for a midriff-baring crop top or matching bra-cardigan skirt set, there are so many chic pieces on the market to scoop up right now. Fendi has a stunning mohair version, Aya Muse has some of the sultriest knits of the season, and our very own Who What Wear Collection has the forward set you’ve probably spotted on Instagram already. Ahead, see the crop-top-and-skirt sets to add to your closet and how insiders are styling them.
I spotted this gorgeous column skirt set on Fendi's F/W 21 runway, and it's pretty much lived in my head rent-free ever since.
Not to sound too biased, but our knit bustier top and midi skirt are really good. I particularly enjoy the herringbone texture that makes it look undeniably luxe.
When it comes to these sets, sometimes the simpler, the better. Keep things pared back and style a set with some '90s kitten heels.
FYI: Zara's knit skirt sets are really popping off right now. This green shade feels very of the moment. Wear the cardigan and skirt together or add in the coordinating knit bra for even more impact.
Shop the matching Ribbed Knit Cropped Top ($20) and Contrasting Knit Skirt ($46)
Shop the matching Pisa Tie Waist Long Sleeve Crop Top ($38)
While many of the skirt sets on the market right now feature slim fits and midriff-baring cropped hems, there are also a number of more conservative silhouettes that are no less chic.
The perfect thing to pack for your next getaway.
