This Celebrity Trainer Shares Her Hour-Long Morning Routine

Simone De La Rue is a fitness industry multi-hyphenate: speaker, trainer, health and wellness coach, and founder of the immensely popular dance cardio program, Body by Simone. In between teaching virtual classes for her app and training her roster of celebrity clients, Simone also prioritizes spending time with her three-year-old son, Oscar.

6 A.M.
My day starts with our son Oscar coming into our bed after he wakes up. We'll open the blinds and watch the sunrise over the mountains. This is my favorite time of the day —we'll practice gratitude for everything we have and take a few minutes to be still.
6:15 A.M.
Next, I'll shower and use my Woo X Goshi exfoliating towel to brush my skin and stimulate my circulation. I also love using the Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarin Body Wash. It feels so fresh and invigorating in the morning.
I actually use this alone time to stretch under the hot water. I find it releases any tension or anxiety and also warms me up for the day.
6:30 A.M.
Next, I'll wash my face with Ingredients Wellness Face Cleanser, followed by Biography Long June Everyday Face Drops.
Finally, I'll apply my favorite Supergoop! Glow Screen SPF. I spend a lot of time outdoors and need to protect my face. I love that this product gives me a slightly tinted glow, which means I do not need to wear foundation. I work out every day except Sunday, so I try not to wear too much makeup during my sweat sessions.
6:45 A.M.
Next, I'll have some breakfast and I always have to fuel up before a workout. If I have time, I'll have eggs on avocado toast with green tea. However, if I am in a rush, I'll make my favorite protein smoothie.

I always recommend my clients to have a protein smoothie within an hour after finishing their exercise to level their blood sugar and help repair their muscles.
7 A.M.
I am out the door to head to my studio to train clients and film for my Body by Simone app.
