The Sephorathon Holiday Savings Event Is On—Here's Our "To Buy This Second" List
I would need to be an octopus to count on my hands the number of holiday-centric Sephora sale stories I've written up since becoming a beauty editor. That said, they really don't lose their thrill. And if you thought all of the best internet beauty deals and steals were ghosts of this year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday past, you'd be quite wrong.
Friends, Sephora's epic Sephorathon holiday savings event is officially on, and you have through December 9 to snap up all of your personal must-haves and gift ideas while the savings are hot.
Of course, to get in on the holiday shopping magic, you have to be a Beauty Insider (join for free here if you're not already!), and the savings are as follows: Rouge members get $25 off $75+, VIB members get $20 off $75+, and Beauty Insider members get $15 off any $75+. Then, you just have to use code 2020SAVE online or in-store to reap your deals.
It's physically impossible for me to resist shopping for all of my favorites, so 21 of the coolest things I'd snap up right this second await your perusal just below. Happy shopping—keep scrolling!
Skincare
Pint-size yet potent, this mini version of Dr. Barbara Sturm's best-selling face cream is a dream come true for winter skin woes. (Oh, and it's the perfect size for stockings.)
Spiked with peptides, fermented honey, prebiotics, and green tea–derived EGCG, this brand-new formula from Sunday Riley is a quick fix and long-term way to tackle fine lines, wrinkles, redness, and firmness.
Bakuchiol is nature's effective yet less irritating version of retinol, and this new anti-aging serum launch from Herbivore Botanicals is chock-full of it.
Makeup
Meet one of the latest dazzling additions to the Rare Beauty collection. I can't stop applying this palette called Magnetic Spirit, and I don't think you'll be able to either. (Hint, hint.)
If there's anyone I trust to create a super-effective lip-plumping gloss, it's the Kardashians' longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic.
Dreams came true when Stila decided to enhance its cult-loved waterproof liquid liner by attaching a finer micro-tip version on the other end. Brilliant beyond brilliant.
Hair
This Mirsalehi honey–infused hair oil is my newest obsession for *finally* getting the strong and shiny strands I've been dreaming of. The miniature size is perfect because the tiniest drop goes the longest way.
I actually just received this adorable ornament, and I've already added five more to my cart for all of my family and friends. (The leopard theme is just too cute to pass up!)
I love the concept of hair perfume, and this just so happens to be my all-time favorite fragrance from House Chanel. (Think light whiffs of citron, jasmine, and teakwood.)
Fragrance
My fellow beauty editor Courtney Higgs and I agree—this new debut from Tom Ford is not only the all-time best from the brand but is also one of the all-time best fragrances, period. It's intoxicatingly juicy thanks to the unique mix of peach, davana, and patchouli.
If you're looking for a new woody scent that's especially sparkly for winter, I highly recommend this new fragrance from clean-perfume brand Ellis Brooklyn. Starring notes include vetiver, ambergris, and cedarwood for a sophisticated yet cozy finish.
This is one perfume I don't yet own but that is sitting at the very top of my wish list. How delicious does the warm and spicy blend of rosebud, pink pepper, cherry, saffron, tonka bean, and cedarwood sound? Whenever I'm buying a new fragrance on the internet, I always opt for a travel-size vial on the off chance I'm not a fan. (Strategy, people, strategy.)
Candles
This blend of pine, cinnamon, and eucalyptus is one of the most elegant ways to set the tone this holiday season. It smells festive and woody but not in a fake or overbearing way.
This vegan, clean-burning candle looks the part (seriously, the art-deco vibe is so chic), and the melding of fragrance notes like crystal ginger, bergamot zest, and spiced yuzu is unlike anything you've ever lit.
I love the idea of sprinkling my space with variations of the same scent. Vanilla is the soul-warming star of this pretty trio featuring Santal Vanille, Vanilla Latte, and Tahitian Coconut Vanilla.
Can you tell I'm candle obsessed? I just spotted this naughty cookie-inspired soy candle from Heretic, and since it's limited edition, I absolutely need to have the yummy mix of black pepper, vanilla, ginger, leathery tonka bean, nutmeg, and warm cloves ASAP.
Tools & Gadgets
Do yourself a favor this holiday season and invest in a few of these clear, stackable drawers. You'll appreciate a tidier space and having the ability to see all of your beauty staples without having to dig and rummage.
If you or anyone you know is in the market for a new curling iron, I recommend this new high-tech option over all others. Case in point: It utilizes cutting-edge T3 Curl ID to deliver first-of-its-kind styling customization with a smart-touch interface and nine heat settings that automatically adapt to your unique hair needs. (This flat iron shares the same cool technology if you're not a curl person.)
I've gotten super into teeth-whitening devices this year since I've had more time at home. This is the set I'm planning to try next.
Bath & Body
The facial versions of these brand-new exfoliating wipes from Dr. Dennis Gross are some of the most-wanted products in the realm of skincare. So I've been chomping at the bit to wipe down my body and limbs for super-soft and radiant skin from head to toe this season. (It contains all the goods like salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid.)
I love killing as many birds with one stone as I can post-shower, and trust me when I say there isn't a more convenient way to tackle all of your ills in one go than this handy roller from Milk Makeup. The lush mix of jojoba oil, olive oil, and vitamin E keeps dry skin topped up with moisture while the soothing blend of broad-spectrum CBD, arnica flower extract, and hemp-derived cannabis-seed extract go to work on tightness and inflammation.

Erin has been writing a mix of beauty and wellness content for Who What Wear for over four years. Prior to that, she spent two and half years writing for Byrdie. She now calls Santa Monica home but grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and studied writing, rhetoric, and communication at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She studied abroad in Galway, Ireland, and spent a summer in L.A. interning with the Byrdie and Who What Wear family. After graduating from UW, she spent one year in San Francisco, where she worked as a writer for Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen before moving down to L.A. to begin her career as a beauty editor. She considers her day-to-day beauty aesthetic very low-maintenance and relies on staples like clear brow serum (from Kimiko!), Lawless's Lip Plumping Mask in Cherry Vanilla, and an eyelash curler. For special occasions or days when she's taking more meetings or has an event, she'll wear anything and everything from Charlotte Tilbury (the foundations are game-changing), some shimmer on her lids (Stila and Róen do it best), and a few coats of the best mascara-type product on earth, Surratt's Noir Lash Tint.
