We Crafted the Ultimate Fall Beauty It List—These 22 New Launches Made the Cut
To be clear, it's never not a good time to shop at Sephora. After all, the retailer is constantly adding new and exciting brands to its star-studded roster and said brands are constantly debuting new, very wish list–worthy formulas to keep us chomping at the bit. That said, time is of the essence, and you might say that now is an especially opportune time to grab a caffeinated beverage and revisit your Sephora cart.
Not only has there been a slew of very delectable fresh product arrivals in recent weeks, but the retailer also announced its Welcome Back Event which will take place through August 23. Applicable to Beauty Insiders only (sign up easily and for free, here!), you can score $15 off orders of $75 or $20 off orders of $100 using the promo code WELCOMEBACK at checkout. (A very nifty plot twist if you've been hovering, hemming, and hawing over your beauty wishlist the past few months.) Consider this a sign from the universe that it's finally time to splurge!
I have faith that you can take it from here, but because I can't help myself, I spent about five hours pouring over every inch of Sephora's website to bring 22 best-of-the-best new arrivals directly to your screen. Keep scrolling for every single new It product I'm prescribing as the ultimate end-of-summer remedy. (Shop now and thank me later!)
Skin
The Cleanser
I never used to get excited about cleansers, but some of my favorite skincare brands have really been stepping up their game recently, and all of a sudden I'm completely willing to sacrifice $30 to a tube of skincare magic. This new formula from Dr. Dennis Gross is one such example! I love that it can be used with or without water, and it's a supreme option as we transition into the cooler months of fall.
It's designed to protect and strengthen your skin barrier (which can easily be compromised during season transitions), and luxe additions like marine algae, hyaluronic acid, and kiwi moisturizers keep your complexion plump, supple, and topped up with dewy nutrition. It's oil-free, hypoallergenic, and designed to erase even the sturdiest of waterproof mascara formulas.
The Anti-Aging Serum
My mom introduced me to the OG version of this serum years ago, and I couldn't be more excited about this next-generation version which is patented until 2033. (No joke!) It's the brand's number one serum to target visible signs of aging and while it still boasts the same oil-free texture that made the original so beloved in the first place, it's now pimped-out with the brand's trademarked Chronolux Power Signal Technology which essentially helps erase common skin woes like rough skin texture, uneven skin tone, dullness, along with fine lines and wrinkles. Oh, and as if that weren't enough, it now delivers eight hours-worth of durable antioxidant power and 72 hours of skin-plumping hydration thanks to hyaluronic acid.
The Moisturizer
I'll just say this—there are a very select few (maybe two?) oil-free gel moisturizers that I would trust to sufficiently hydrate and take care of my skin through summer and fall weather. This new launch from Murad is one of them, and it's completely wowed me (and my finicky skin!) since I started using every morning a few weeks ago. Although it was specifically designed for those who veer acneic or oily, it's great for all skin types and features strategic ingredients like hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, and ginger root extract to keep skin balanced, refined, smooth, clear, and ultra-calm no matter what the elements (or hormones) try to throw at you. I only wish this had launched years ago!
The Eye Cream
There have been a handful of new eye cream launches recently, but if I had to choose, I'd rank this one as the most exciting. For those who don't know, Bobbi Brown's Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer ($60) has claimed cult status within the beauty industry for years (it's a makeup artist staple), and this eye-focused version replicates the magic as a more targeted formula. It's great on its own, but the brightening and smoothing benefits from vitamin C and shea butter make for an amazing pre-game before your concealer.
The Lip Balm and Scrub
I go wild for every single product Kaja makes. (If you haven't tried its Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Shadow Trios, I highly recommend reconsidering.) So, not surprisingly, the next product on my radar is the brand's new adorable two-in-one balm and scrub. We're about to enter prime flake and chap season (hi, fall), so I plan on having this on standby. I'm also obsessed with the fact that the balm smells like coconut and the scrub smells like pineapple—a piña colada heaven that's a surefire antidote to any end-of-summer scaries.
Makeup
The Foundation
I have a very exclusive list of makeup products I'm utterly convinced I'll use for the rest of my life. And, up until recently, IT Cosmetics' OG CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ ($40) was a shoo-in. Until that is, the brand launched this new, insanely amazing foundation that really shook up my previous roster of all-stars. This foundation. Similar to the rest of the brand's makeup options, it's skincare wrapped inside complexion-perfecting makeup. This specific launch is designed to improve your bare skin in as little as two weeks (it's brimming with vitamins and nutrients) while providing lots of hydration and easy-to-build, natural-looking coverage. It's pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a foundation. (And for those wondering, the main difference between this foundation and the CC+ cream is coverage—this is medium versus the CC+'s full!)
The Concealer
As my fellow beauty editor Courtney Higgs said ever so eloquently in a recent IG story, this concealer is real makeup, and if you're someone not looking to ride the minimalist train, it's going to be a gamechanger for you. Courtney and I both love lots of coverage when it comes to concealer, but it also has to have a magical knack for not looking like a lot. This new concealer ticks all of our boxes. It effortlessly blurs away anything you're looking to conceal, and it holds its ground for 24 hours against water, sweat, transfer, or anything else you or the elements could possibly throw at it.
The Blush:
Meet your new favorite blush. Patrick Ta is a makeup genius and there's nothing more brilliant on the market right now than this laye-able duo. Start with the powder and then add a light coat of the complementary cream shade on top for a glasslike finish that will also have longer staying power. The shade She's That Girl is my current fave.
The Mascara
The clean mascara market is a hard nut to crack, and I'll be honest… the majority of formulas have let me (and many) severely underwhelmed. That said, this new clean revolution from Roen (you definitely need all of the brand's eye shadows if you don't already own them) is pretty spectacular. The formula is laced with top-notch ingredients to encourage hold, lift, clump-free volume, and hydration. No brittle, flaky lashes here, thanks!
The Lip
Pat McGrath Labs has never done us wrong and the brand's latest launch might (dare I say it) be one of its best yet? Between this lush, high-watt lip shine, and other new arrivals like the Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil ($28), Astral Lip Fetish Balm ($36), Lip Fetish Sheer Colour Balm ($36), and Mothership Rose Decadence ($65) shadow palette… I'm overwhelmed in the best way possible.
Hair
The Dry Shampoo
Do I even need to write a caption for this? Two of our all-time favorite things (Ouai's dry shampoo is legitimately one of the best in the biz and Byredo's Mojave Ghost perfume is iconic) have joined together for an ultra-special limited edition formula that oily, smelly strands will eagerly lap up.
The Damage Rx
I've been obsessed with Olaplex's No. 3 Hair Perfector for years, and I maintain that it's one of the sole reasons my hair has actually gotten healthier, thicker, and longer despite my hardcore bleaching habit. That said, the brand just debuted a new launch that takes the effects of No. 3 to a whole new level. This kit includes the new No. 0 Intensive Bond-Building Hair treatment which you generously apply to dry hair so that it's completely saturated. Next, let it sit for ten minutes, before going in and layering your No. 3 ontop. Let the two marinate together for another ten minutes (at least) and then rinse, shampoo, and condition as normal. Bonus points if you use the brand's No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo ($28) and No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner ($28).
The Detangler
Great for all hair types and hair textures, this essential detangler is nourishing and easy on fussy, tangle-prone strands. It's thoughtfully crafted with aloe vera and oat extract to deliver satiny shiny while allowing an effortless comb-through—a true godsend or anyone with fragile locks looking to minimize breakage.
The Overnight Serum
Overnight treatments that work while I sleep are one of my favorite categories of beauty products. This dreamy new serum is designed for those who lighten their locks (be it bleach, highlights, anything), utilizing key agents like hyaluronic acid and edelweiss flower to reinvigorate damaged strands with hydration and softness. Simply massage two to four pumps into the lengths and ends, throw your hair into braids or a bun, and let it work its magic while you get your beauty sleep. The best part? There's no need to rinse come morning.
The Scalp Savior:
Yep, to the relief of our very cranky end-of-summer scalps, Sunday Riley has officially entered the haircare market with this new detoxifying and clarifying treatment. AHAs, BHAs, rose clay, plus niacinamide are the starring ingredients in the silky serum which deep-cleans the scalp, effortlessly removing buildup, excess oil, dead skin, and pollution in one fell swoop.
The Hair Gloss:
Consider this glossy hair oil (which, ahem, is free of silicones) similar to a superfood tonic for thirsty strands. It plays well with all hair types, but it's especially clutch for those with medium and thick textures. Enriched with Kakadu plum, capryl capric triglycerides, and sunflower oil, you can pretty much use it however you see fit. Apply it on wet hair post shampoo and conditioner, dab it on dry hair in between wash days, or completely douse your hair and scalp as a pre-wash treatment. Leave it on for two hours before rinsing and shampooing thoroughly.
The Blowout Hack
Meet GHD's latest hair innovation, which plays well with all hair types and thicknesses. So, what makes it so cool? The brush‘s heater technology spans evenly over the entire one and one-quarter inch barrel, uniquely responding to your hair‘s needs by maintaining a constant optimum temperature of 365°F to lock in volume, lift, and bounce sans any collateral damage.
Body, Fragrance, and Wellness
The Body Scrub
This body exfoliator from Nécessaire isn't new, new, but it is new to Sephora. (We've been waiting forever to welcome the brand to our favorite beauty retailer, and the day has finally arrived!) All of the body formulas from the clean brand are top-notch, but I'm especially addicted to this skin-clearing exfoliator which has become one of my favorite weekly shower rituals. A delicate mix of AHAs and BHAs like glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acids remove dead skin cells for more even, smoother-looking skin, while bamboo charcoal ensures a velvety-soft, non-stripped finish.
You can pick you poison between fragrance-free, eucalyptus, and sandalwood, but if you're not sensitive or allergic to scents, I'd highly recommend the eucalyptus, which is the most phenom way to replicate a rich, spa-like experience from the comfort of home.
The Perfume
Not only is Black Orchid one of Tom Ford's most best-selling and iconic scents of all time, but we'd also argue it's one of the most iconic scents of all time, just in general. Whether you're a longtime fan like me or are just looking for a new fragrance addiction for fall, you've come to the right place. The brand just launched this stunning new version of the cult-loved perfume, which is presented in an all-over gold bottle inspired by the 1920s and 1930s architecture. As far as the difference in scent between the original, this version is significantly more potent, with amplified notes of ylang-ylang, rum absolute, and black plum.
The Deodorant
If you're like me, you've never met a Kosas launch you didn't like, and this serum-inspired clean deodorant is no exception. Not only is the formula itself refreshing, but it also has a unique ingredient makeup featuring a hard-hitting blend of AHAs (shikimic, mandelic, and lactic), plus skin-soothing agents like aloe and hyaluronic acid, to nix odor-causing bacteria while leaving your pits irritation and stain-free.
The Daily Beauty Powder
Beauty Chef's original Glow formula recently got a re-up, and I've been swooning ever since I received it to test drive pre-launch. It has a light earthy berry taste that's delicious simply mixed into water (how I drink it), and it boasts lush whole food ingredients rich in vitamin C, provitamin A, biotin, probiotics, and prebiotics.
The New-Age Collagen Powder
FYI, research says marine collagen might be more effective than bovine-sourced collagen if you're looking to encourage glowing, healthy skin. This new beauty collagen powder from Goop is at the top of my wellness wishlist. It tastes like vanilla (yum) and promotes a smoother, firmer, dewier complexion by way of the brand's clinically tested ceramides, aloe vera, antioxidant-potent astaxanthin, and, of course, marine collagen sourced from Wild Alaskan Pollock.
