11 Products "You Need to Try," According to a Sephora Beauty Director
Raise your hand if you could spend an entire afternoon in Sephora and still not even make a dent in their product inventory. (I know I could. I'd happily browse the shelves for hours at a time and probably only make my way through a few different brands.) As we all know, the retailer is basically every beauty lover's dream, as every product you could possibly want is at your fingertips.
Since it's basically impossible to peruse every single product at Sephora, I always worry that some might be slipping through the cracks. There are brands at Sephora that I've never heard of and know I need to try, but I have a hard time figuring out what actually deserves my attention when there are thousands of products in front of me.
For this reason, I enlisted the help of Sephora Beauty Director Myiesha Sewell to tell me what products I absolutely need to try from Sephora right now. Since she has a bird's eye view of practically every product in the store, she knows better than anyone what products are worth it and what isn't. She shared her top picks across every beauty category with me, and trust me when I say that her favorites won't disappoint. Keep reading for Sewell's absolute ride-or-die beauty products from Sephora.
"Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder is a quick and easy way to get a perfected yet fresh complexion for all of us with oiler or combination skin. The universal translucent shade can also be used strategically as a primer."—Myiesha Sewell
"The alcohol-free formula makes your makeup last all day but is ultra-comfortable to wear."—Sewell
"Warmer weather is definitely for twist-outs and heatless styles and Melanin Haircare Elongating Twist-Out Cream makes them easier to achieve than ever. [It gives you] all the moisture your hair needs plus a soft hold that's never crunchy."—Sewell
"K18 Biometric Hairscience Peptide Prep Detox Shampoo is a great way to reset and refresh your hair after a day at the beach or if you have hard water in your home."—Sewell
"One of my favorite ways to prep my skin for the day is massaging in a yummy, nourishing serum. Bonus points if they're lightweight and give my skin a nice gleam. I used the Eadam Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum during pregnancy to prevent dark spots and continue to use it because it instantly perks up dullness."—Sewell
"A night treatment like the Sephora Collection Overnight Hydrating Mask will also give you a head start to radiant skin."—Sewell
"I love fragrance samplers. They're an easy way for me to check out new fragrance brands at my own pace."—Sewell
"I've recently been into World of Chris Collins Lost in Paradise Eau de Parfum because I tried it in the World of Chris Collins Discovery Set. [It's a] genderless scent with very sexy unique uses of musk notes."—Sewell
"Phlur's new Somebody Wood Eau de Parfum is also a must-try. Both [this and the Chris Collins perfume] are genderless scents with very sexy unique uses of musk notes."—Sewell
"Don't neglect the skin on your body! If you want to know where to start, try the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Exfoliating Body Treatment Peel. It's so easy to use and your skin will feel like silk."—Sewell
"While the peel pads are incredibly nourishing due to the addition of squalane, I definitely recommend using a body cream afterward. I slather myself in Cay Skin Deepwater Dew Hydrating Body Creme every night and my eczema thanks me for it!"—Sewell
