As soon as we heard that Selena Gomez would be hosting Saturday Night Live this past weekend, we knew to be on the lookout for some seriously memorable style moments from the multi-hyphenate and perennial It girl, and we weren't wrong. Gomez took her signature effortless glamour to the SNL after-party, opting for a strapless black dress with a thigh-high slit and a pair of princess shoes (not to be confused with Barbie shoes).
So why are we discussing the shoe trend that goes with every dress color when Gomez just wore a black dress? Valid question, but we'd be writing this story regardless of what color dress she wore because her heels really do go with any and every color.
If the phrase "princess shoe trend" makes you think of Cinderella, you're on the right track. PVC, or clear, shoes are still a trend, and they're still being embraced by celebrities such as Gomez, who wore a crystal-studded pair of pointed-toe mules with her chic black dress. And I think it goes without saying why they go with every dress color.
