This week, we're rebroadcasting and expanding upon one of our favorite Second Life episodes from the archives with Christina Tosi.

If you haven't eaten any of NYC-based Milk Bar's cakes, truffles, cookies, or soft serve, you've probably at least heard about how creative the delicious sweets are, or seen them on Instagram in all their glory. Milk Bar came into our lives back in 2008 with its first shop in the East Village. It now boasts 15 locations around the country and a booming e-commerce business so fans across the U.S., Canada, and the UK can have access to popular treats like Birthday Cake, Compost Cookies, and B'Day Truffles. And all of this deliciousness has been bestowed upon us by Milk Bar's chef, CEO, and founder Christina Tosi.

Tosi may be the recipient of two James Beard Awards and have three cookbooks under her belt (including her latest one, All About Cake), but before Tosi created the Milk Bar empire, she ran operations for David Chang’s Momofuku empire. Head to iTunes to subscribe to Second Life and listen to this episode to hear more about how Christina Tosi turned Milk Bar into the household name and gold standard for cool bakeries that it is today, and shop some of its pastries below.
