If you're a reader of Who What Wear stories, have any knowledge of the most popular L.A. fashion brands, or routinely get your fashion inspiration from Instagram, you're probably familiar with Anine Bing. Bing launched her eponymous fashion brand in 2012, and since then women have come to rely on it from both elevated basics and wearable trend pieces, ranging from chic blazers (a Who What Wear editor favorite) to boots, jewelry, and so much more. Anine Bing is the quintessential L.A. brand that truly appeals to women everywhere.
Although Bing is now the founder and chief creative officer of her brand, her earlier days were quite a departure from her life now. Bing was born in Denmark before moving to Sweden and later starting a modeling career (which would span 10 years) in Milan at the age of 14. When she wasn't modeling, Bing was playing music and formed a band upon moving to Los Angeles. She quickly acclimated to the L.A. lifestyle and started a successful blog, which led to the launch of her brand.
Bing's brand started out of a garage in Silverlake and is now sold by a number of popular retailers, she has 10 stores around the world (with more on the way), and she has an Instagram following of over 700k, undoubtedly made up of the many fans of her chic, laid-back style.
Head to iTunes to subscribe to Second Life and listen to this episode to hear all about Bing's captivating career path. And scroll below to shop some of Bing's stylish pieces, all of which you'll want to wear on repeat.
