The Anti-Trend, Quiet-Luxury Colour Kendall and Rosie HW Are Suddenly Wearing

In the 13 years I've spent writing (and let's face it, obsessing) about fashion, I've come to the conclusion that there's no such thing as a coincidence, especially when it pertains to seeing a person wearing something similar to someone else. And given the fact that I've just witnessed two of the most stylish people wearing the same exact colour, I know it's only a matter of time before it'll begin to catch on.

Earlier in the month, we brought you a handful of expensive-looking colours that were doing the rounds, while this feature included a chic outfit from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, which featured a sage green knitted dress, which she styled out with ecru accessories. Now, imagine my delight when, just this week, Kendall Jenner followed in Huntington-Whiteley's chic footsteps with her very own sage look; a knitted mini dress which she rounded off with Bottega Veneta's new Andiamo bag

What struck me most was how little of this colour I've seen lately. It's a shade I consider to be very classic, never driven by trends but somewhat omnipresent in collections each season. I also realised just how expensive it looks and how it loans itself to the quiet luxury aesthetic that is still reigning. Sure, Jenner's dress may be St Agni while Huntington-Whiteley's is Khaite, but this is one of those rare colours that has a tendency to look premium no matter how much you spend on it. And I have proof.

Below, I've rounded up my favourite sage colour trend pieces that I truly believe will stand the test of time in your wardrobe and help you dress as elegantly as Kendall Jenner and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. From H&M to Anine Bing, these pieces confirm that sage is the shade of note this summer.
