Rosie Just Shared the 9 Beauty Essentials She's Packing for Her Summer Holiday
When it comes to packing for my own summer holiday, the baggage allowance isn't something that enters my realm of thought. I'm a "just in case" kind of packer who travels with items of clothing for every type of weather and potential emergency. (Side note: Why, as soon as I leave the country, do multiple spare pairs of knickers become so essential to my wellbeing?) As you can imagine, my travel-beauty stash isn't a whole lot more refined. Without fail, my hand-luggage essentials will refuse to be contained to a single plastic bag, meaning that my poor husband is forced to carry through face mists, sheet masks and lip balms that I have decanted into his own half-filled wash bag.
So I was somewhat ecstatic when Rosie Huntington-Whiteley took to Instagram this week to share her own edit of beauty essentials for her summer holiday. The number of products in total? Nine. Oh, Rosie, you put me to shame.
Featuring a smattering of makeup, a couple of multipurpose body products and a summer scent, Rosie proves that summer packing is about quality over quantity—something that I'm inclined to get on board with. After all, the number of times I've actually reached for that trending eye-shadow palette or matte red lipstick while reclining on summer holidays of the past has to be a grand total of zero.

A silky blend of vitamin E, camellia and hibiscus extracts and a whole lot of rose oil, this multipurpose treat can be used to add a glossy sheen to skin, hair and body. The iconic By Terry rose scent is incredible too.
Why pack just one oil when you can pack two? This one is perfect for summer nights thanks to an infusion of gold and platinum leaf that delivers a golden glow to the skin. Plus, the ylang-ylang, jasmine and tuberose fragrance means that you can skip the perfume.

Word of warning: While you can get this cult Filipino brand shipped to the UK, it's worth checking out what the delivery costs and import charges will be. (I know £6 might seem like a bargain now, but these costs rack up.) Clearly, Rosie's trademark muted matte lip isn't something that she's willing to leave home without.
This hand sanitiser from Byredo is possibly the chicest travel product I've ever seen. Not only does it kill germs but it's also fragranced with pink pepper, raspberry, magnolia and rose, so your hands will smell amazing too.
Rosie's summer perfume of choice comes via Le Labo and is a fresh mix of bergamot, fig and cedar wood with a musky base of black tea and tobacco. A great day-to-night option if you're saving on packing space.
Sadly, the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Glow Stick that Rosie is packing is now out of stock. But this creamy highlighter from BareMinerals makes a great dupe for the way it imparts an easy glow onto your skin.

A lip gloss is the perfect holiday product—they're lightweight, wonderfully shiny and less high-maintenance than a traditional lipstick. This one from Hourglass contains light-reflecting shimmer for an intensely glossy finish.
Turns out that we all have our vices and it looks as if Rosie's is lip products (this is the third one she's packing for her holiday). The great thing about these formulas from BareMinerals is that you can pat them on lightly as an easy lip stain or build them up for a matte but comfortable pop of colour.
This iconic bronzing base is a gel-cream formula that you can wear under or over your foundation. For glowing holiday skin, buff it over cheekbones, temples and across your nose using a fluffy brush for an instant glow.
Next up, Rosie HW, Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham swear by these hair products.
