Rihanna's VMAs Performance Outfits Involve the Prettiest Lingerie Trends

Just because the MTV Video Music Awards air tonight doesn't mean we have to wait to see some of the show's epic celebrity moments. Seeing as this year's theme is "Everything Might Happen," we're gearing up for a night full of surprises. The first? Rihanna is performing. While there hasn't been any formal announcement, if the hints we're seeing from her and her stylist are any indication, her night is going to be epic. Said stylist, Mel Ottenberg, just shared a series of exclusive photos on his own Instagram of Rihanna's outfits in action, both on stage and backstage.

In true @badgalriri form, her outfits are nothing short of showstopping, but it's the lingerie trends she's wearing that we can't stop thinking about. In his first post, Ottenberg shared an image of Rihanna wearing a purple-feather-lined bralette and green fishnets layered underneath a pair of leather pants (see slides 1 and 3). As if that outfit weren't enough to hype her performance, he shared two more looks that involve lime green fringe, a coordinating crystal choker (see slide 4), and a furry purple stole.

Seriously, you have to see Rihanna's epic performance outfits to believe them. Scroll down to take a peek for yourself.
