Chunky Sneakers

This outfit couldn't be more '80s if it tried, but the funny thing is that this outfit is also so 2018. Graphic sweatshirts, bike shorts, and chunky sneakers are basically the model-off-duty uniform of our time, and Princess Diana was clearly the one to inspire many of their looks.

Leave it to Princess Diana to rock one of the biggest shoe trends of 2018 better than anyone else. Cowboy boots made their mark in the S/S 18 collections and trickled down to prove their continuing popularity for F/W 18. Not sure how to style the trend? Just ask this princess.

Kitten Heels

There was definitely a time when someone wearing kitten heels seemed a bit out of touch. But that time was only between when Princess Diana wore them and now because kitten heels are worn almost as often as a good pair of block heels these days. Take it from this beloved royal—dressed-up or casual looks will shine bright with the addition of a kitten heel.

Espadrilles

Espadrilles are a timeless footwear style that can be worn from day-to-day or saved for a beachy vacation. Make like Princess Diana and try wearing yours with colored denim and a floral blouse. The combination screams summer 2018.

Ballet Flats

Another staple footwear choice made consistently by Princess Diana was a good pair of ballet flats. We love how she chose a metallic hue for this look to add some needed pizazz.
