The £18 Product That Jourdan Dunn Uses for Supermodel Skin
I'm not usually one for purporting claims that certain products can give you supermodel skin. In fact, with a long history of acne, I actively rally against the marketing spiel that brands offer up in their quest to sell "perfect skin" to the masses.
However, when I heard about a product that an actual supermodel swears by for her genuinely glowing skin, I immediately perked up. Plus, it's got the A-list seal of approval. A quick poll of the Who What Wear editors showed that this cult product has widespread appeal.
The supermodel in question is the gorgeous Jourdan Dunn, who—let's face it—is glowy-skin goals. And the product that she's been raving about? Pixi Glow Tonic—a glycolic acid with cult status in the beauty industry.
In an interview with Into the Gloss, Dunn revealed that she uses Pixi Glow Tonic as her toner every morning after cleansing. "Cult Beauty's blog raved about it and Caroline Hirons raved about it, so I was like, 'I've got to try it!'" Dunn explained. "Now I'm hooked! I just love the feeling that it leaves on my skin. It exfoliates as well, so I feel like it's really doing its job."

But what exactly is it that makes this product so special? Formulated with three key ingredients, Pixi Glow Tonic is the brainchild of brand founder Petra Strand. Starting life as a makeup artist, the Swedish native opened up her first Pixi boutique in Soho, London in 1999 where she actually blended and filled the first bottles of Glow Tonic from the basement.
Although it started out as an insider beauty secret with her regular clients swearing by the results, it was when skincare expert Caroline Hirons raved about the product on her blog back in 2012 that it really reached cult status.
The star ingredients are glycolic acid to exfoliate and refine the texture of the skin, aloe vera to hydrate and rejuvenate the complexion and red ginseng to protect the skin from environmental aggressors with antioxidants.
If you're new to acids, then you might want to start off only applying it to your skin a couple of times a week before building up to more regular use. After cleansing, just apply a small amount to a cotton pad and sweep over your skin—avoiding your eye area. As with all acids, make sure to follow with an SPF as the exfoliation can leave your skin a little more sensitive to the sun.
It's not just supermodels and editors that swear by it either. It turns out that Kim Kardashian West is also a fan of this affordable toner. Sharing some of her favourite drugstore beauty finds via her app, she explained, "You can still find really effective skincare items without having to spend a lot of money." Case in point? An £18 bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic. And it lasts for a long, long time.
