The New Basics With a Twist NYC Girls Will Be Wearing in 2020
Much has been said about the yearning to return to Old Céline, but why dwell on the past when fashion's future is so bright? We're incredibly optimistic about the newest crop of buzzy designers, whether it's whimsical Copenhagen brand Helmstedt or New York designer Peter Do. The latter will actually appeal to all those Old Céline die-hards while attracting plenty of new fans given that he trained with Phoebe Philo at the brand for two years but has a sharp point of view all his own.
Why is Peter Do especially exciting right now? Well, he's nixed the traditional NYFW show in favor of making his S/S 20 collection available to preorder exclusively on Moda Operandi—and you can bet NYC girls will be clicking "add to cart" faster than you can say Phoebe Philo. Do has designed timeless staples but with twists that make them anything but boring. Scroll down to preorder the pieces and see what I mean.
Next, I spent four hours on Etsy finding the best vintage jewelry picks.
Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
