This New Italian Shoe Brand Is Going to Be Everywhere in 2019
First, it was Susan Alexandra's colorful beaded bags, and then it was Simone Rocha's pearl-encrusted hair slides. Now a new accessory is making the rounds on Instagram and about to land on an It list near you: a pair of mock-croc leather boots by Paris Texas. Doesn't sound familiar? Never fear—all the info is here.
Emily Ratajkowski is a member of the Paris Texas fan club. She wore the label's toffee-brown boots with stiletto heels for a party in New York last week and was spotted wearing the snake-print version of the same knee-highs during Milan Fashion Week in September. Instagram stars Chiara Ferragni, Diletta Bonaiuti, and Tiffany Hsu have already posted about their boots, and Eva Chen celebrated her birthday by lounging across a Parisian sofa in her pair.
Here's what you need to know: The Italian label was founded in 2015 by sisters Annamaria and Margherita Brivio. Despite its name (the two cities were chosen to convey "the idea of contrasts," Paris being "sophisticated in style" and Texas having a "fun attitude," they say), the founders insist that every single component that makes up the brand's shoes—from the soles to the buckles to the packaging—is sourced in Italy.
Paris Texas might headline in knee-high boots, but the brand's backless mules with heart-shaped crystal buckles and block-heel glitter sandals are proving equally popular with the street style set. "We really like eccentric details, like the diamanté on our mules. They make the simplest outfits look glamorous," say Annamaria and Margherita. "Our shoes can be worn with everything—from denim and a warm sweater to an evening dress."
Aimee Song styled her checked blue mules with a white T-shirt, rolled-up jeans, and a brocade trench coat for the Ralph Lauren party during Paris Fashion Week.

The almond-shaped toe, comfortable block heels, and delicious mock croc make these boots perfect from every angle.
These sky-blue beauties just need a teddy-bear jacket and some cropped jeans to look autumn-ready.
This mule is a little bit Cher Horowitz and a little bit Carrie Bradshaw.
