These Sneakers Are Starting to Feel Dated—Here Are 4 to Wear Instead
I chat about this pretty frequently these days, but sneakers have become a core staple in my wardrobe over the last year. While I still wear heels and sandals on occasion, sneakers are a shoe style that has been indispensable in my wardrobe for everything from walks around the neighborhood to having something to wear with jeans, so I've been paying attention to the cool sneaker trends even more than usual these days.
One thing that has become clear is that some outdated sneakers are no longer popular among the fashion set. The super-chunky sneakers that were huge in past years have been replaced, and I'm personally here for it since they never grabbed me when they first entered the fashion scene. Instead, we're seeing a new set of trends that are dominating that range from timeless white sneakers to bold, colorful styles. Here, see the biggest new sneaker trends to add to your cart and shop my edit. If you love cool shoes, you'll want to keep reading.
Earth Tones
Versatile shoes are in bigger demand than ever, and that especially includes sneakers. One of the easiest styles to wear with just about anything in your closet? Neutral earth-tone styles that celebs everywhere have been embracing.

Retro
In fashion, we're always looking back, and that couldn't be more true in the world of sneakers. Retro styles are taking center stage on the fashion scene right now, with chic designs from brands such as Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance in huge demand.

Sleek White
You can't go wrong with a classic, so if you're looking for a timeless pair of shoes, you'll want to add a pair of sleek white sneakers into your closet. While you can style these a thousand ways, I'd recommend adding a pair of tube socks for a throwback look.

Colorful
If you're looking to add a bit of fun to your look, colorful sneakers are *it*. Look for some of the biggest colors of the season, like tangerine and bright green.
