Olivia Palermo just proved yet again that she’s a pro at uncovering Zara’s best stuff, wearing a $40 top late last week in New York. Her poplin tunic offered a fresh twist on a basic white shirt—it featured a subtle leopard-print pocket—and hinted at what every designer is serving up for fall 2016: animal print. Given that the top is long and oversize, it’s the perfect match for Palermo’s favorite denim style—skinny jeans. Furthermore, it’s a great way to start dressing for fall when it’s still warm outside.
Palermo completed her perfect late-summer outfit with a pair of monogrammed yellow smoking slippers and a top-handle handbag by fashion girl–favorite brand Les Petits Joueurs. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Palermo wear the outfit combination of oversize top, skinny jeans, and flats. It’s one of her longtime go-to looks, and she often mixes it up by choosing on-trend tops (e.g., off-the-shoulder or sheer).
