Olivia Palermo Just Gave the Choker a Much-Needed Update
Olivia Palermo is once again the highlight of fashion month (POPSUGAR Australia has rounded up every outfit so far). OP has already given us a new way to style our sweaters for autumn, and now she's reinventing the choker trend. A trend that seriously shows no signs of slowing down, so we're always ready for an update.
Palermo's latest look is a lesson in how to make all-black look interesting. With a sheer striped shirt, leather leggings, and a detailed coat, she proves that by adding texture and detail, head-to-toe black doesn't have to look boring. But it was Palermo's choker that made us zoom in closer on the look. Rather than wearing the standard leather choker we've come to love, she's given it an update and added a neck-tie element, with the strip of leather knotting at the front.
The trend is yet to hit the shops, so we suggest heading to your nearest Spotlight and picking up a small strip of leather fabric and creating your own leather necktie. Or, if DIY isn't your forte, pick up a silk version below. Scroll down to peep the look and shop!
