Preview the Priceless Cartier Jewelry You'll See in Ocean's 8
Raise your hand if you can't wait for Ocean's 8—yep, that's just about everyone. To say that it has a heavyweight cast would be an understatement: The movie stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, and Rihanna. In addition to the cast, we can't wait to see the sure-to-be-iconic fashion moments, including, of course, the jewelry.
Cartier created the piece of jewelry at the center of the heist: a replica of a stunning 1930s necklace worn by Anne Hathaway's character. Dubbed the Jeanne Toussaint necklace, it was originally created as a tribute to Cartier's creative director in the 1930s and was painstakingly re-created to fit Hathaway's proportions. As the exclusive jewelry partner for the film, Cartier also loaned other pieces to actresses making cameos—so keep your eye out when you're watching. Scroll down to see the necklace in question, and mark your calendars for the June 8 release.
Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
