Danielle Gilbert is one of the leading stylists at Nordstrom and an integral part of the new Stylist Ambassador program, bringing her sartorial expertise to the forefront of the retailer. Her day-to-day includes working with her clients to home in on their personal styles. She also keeps up with what matters in fashion by attending fashion month events.

In fact, Gilbert just got back from trend-spotting at Paris Fashion Week. There are many looks she saw at the shows and on the streets of Paris that she's starting to recommend to her clients. And yes, many of the trends in question are also making their way into her own wardrobe.

Below, you'll uncover the trends Gilbert spotted in Paris that she's starting to wear more and more because of their elegant, cool, and chic nature. If you keep scrolling, you'll find a deeper dive into the trends with Gilbert's insights. There are also shopping recommendations if, like Gilbert, you want to add one of the fresh trends into your own offering.

Wide-Leg Trousers + Sneakers

"Wide-leg and flared denim are definitely still trending, but wide-leg trousers and sneakers were seen everywhere I turned in Paris," Gilbert says. "It offers versatility, comfort, and style, making it a must-try trend for anyone that wants to look fashionable, chic, and comfortable at the same time."

Maxi Dresses and Skirts

"This trend was definitely predominant on the streets of Paris, from super-casual looks paired back with sneakers and denim jackets to dressier looks with boots and heels and topped with cropped jackets and blazers," Gilbert says. "These pieces are a must in your wardrobe this season."

Pops of Red

"Red is a bold and striking color that can add a touch of glamour to any outfit," Gilbert says. "It's no wonder I saw the popular color on the Paris streets and on the runways. Make a statement with the trending color in your accessories like a handbag, shoes, scarf, or sunnies."

Leather

"It's still a strong trend, from the runway showing leather shirts, jackets, and trousers to street style with Parisians in sheer hosiery and faux-leather shorts and chic trench coats," Gilbert says. "I'm definitely here for it."

Fringe and Sheer

"As seen on the F/W 23 Givenchy runway, I got inspired by fringe and sheer pieces," Gilbert says. "Add a fun sheer top and a fringe skirt or even a fringe-trimmed jacket to your wardrobe. It's definitely a bold trend I'm trying this season."
