Well, we thought we'd share even more with guidance from a true Nordstrom expert. That's right. VIP stylist Sandy Koszarek offered up the exact categories and items she thinks are worth buying from the sale.
Given that she works as a stylist at the mega-retailer, she is well versed in what's best from a style standpoint and from the pricing and stock perspective. "It will be boot season in a few months, so think ahead and get your new fall boots now while they are on sale. There are many hot pointy-toe booties, lug-sole Chelsea boots, and everything in between."

"The Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to refresh your denim. With many styles available, you can stock up on straight-leg, bootcut, and flared denim."
Jackets/Coats
"Nordstrom has many beautiful coats on the Anniversary Sale at excellent prices. I recommend investing in classic wool coats, puffer jackets, and moto jackets."
Dresses
"It's always dress season, so I recommend shopping for dresses during the sale. Look for the summer 'buy now, wear now' items in addition to dresses for work and beautiful styles for special occasions."
