Nicole Richie Just Re-Created Her 2000s Outfits to Perfection

You caught us: We've been on a 2000s nostalgia kick lately. You can blame it on Paris Hilton, who recently reunited with her Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie and then asked her fans whether they think the show should come back (hint: they do). It also sparked our trip down memory line, where we revisited what the duo wore to a Britney Spears concert in 2001. Now, Richie herself is getting in on the action with her new throwback photo shoot for Paper magazine.

In the accompanying interview, Richie talks about how her current style has retained some elements of her Simple Life days. "I can't put my finger on exactly what it is but… I've always been attracted to color, to a certain drape, a certain fit," she told the magazine. "I'm never one to shy away from a headpiece. All of those things have stayed consistent, just different versions of them." Read on to see the epic photos from the shoot.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
