Hundreds of products, months of testing and a collective of industry leaders and experts later, last night, Who What Wear hosted its inaugural Next in Beauty awards—a glittering soirée attended by our category winners—and what a night it was!
2023 has been a phenomenal year for beauty for Who What Wear across the board. We’ve grown our beauty traffic year-over-year by more than 52% percent and have expanded the team to bring you more industry-leading content than ever before. With the #1 highest-engaged beauty audience in the UK, we take our role in guiding you to the very best products very seriously, and our Next in Beauty celebrations were a testament to that.
Our judging panel, made up of acclaimed industry experts, editors, and influencers, were tasked with testing countless products in order to settle on a carefully thought-out selection of the best beauty products in the market today. Between sipping on Picantes and eating delicious pasta, our team—Editor in Chief, Hannah Almassi, deputy editor, Maxine Eggenberger, and beauty editor, Eleanor Vousden—bestowed our winners with their trophies, and also awarded some very special products—one from each of our Hair, Skin, Makeup, Body and Nail categories—with the further honour of Best in Class.
The ceremony itself brought together some the beauty industry's biggest names and brands to celebrate together under the same roof; 180 Health Club on The Strand to be precise! Between the proceedings there was plenty to enjoy and explore, but the runway hit was without a doubt our premium gifting suite, which featured a selection of our winning products which guests could take home and enjoy (and see what all the fuss is about for themselves!).
Featuring OPI nail polish, Revolution Beauty mascara, Bioderma serum, Scholl Party Feet, KISS false lashes, Nudestix eyeshadow, Kure Bazaar nail lacquer, Tatcha cleansing oil, Pixi bronzer, Kosas concealer, Fable & Mane’s conditioner, Tan-Luxe tan serum, Skinny Tan self-tan, Dr.Hauschka skincare, Gold Collagen mask, Argentum moisturiser, Medik8 retinal, Monpure hair oil, Skin + Me sunscreen and Cultured Biocare skincare, needless to say, it was an impressive line-up. After filling their chic Who What Wear bags with their goodies, guests spent time connecting with other industry heavyweights, filled their plates at our grazing table, and got snap-happy in our retro photo booth.
