20 Affordable Buys I Spotted on the Streets of NYC
New York Fashion Week came to a close at the end of last week, and while the rest of the fashion world has jetted across the pond to London, we're still flipping through gallery after gallery of New York street style looks. This season, the street style was some of the best we've seen in a while—we've even spotted a few emerging trends already, and fashion month is still far from over.
The street style at fashion week is notoriously filled with the most luxurious designer pieces and It items galore, so when we find stylish showgoers wearing something affordable, you can bet we take note of it. And take notes, we sure did. We scrolled through hundreds of outfits and came across the following 20 items that all clock in at under $300. In the below roundup, you'll discover It pieces like the newest Staud bag fashion girls are clamoring to carry and even some solid wardrobe staples like cropped cardigans, jeans, and even a few pairs of comfortable shoes (we're looking at you, Birkenstock and UGG).
Ahead, see and shop all the affordable items we just spotted on the streets of New York.
The Frankie Shop is every NYC girl's destination for elevated wardrobe staples, and we spotted its standout utility jumpsuit on this chic showgoer.
There's a new It bag in town, and it's delightfully affordable compared to the other It bags trending right now. Meet Staud's Moon Bag, which we've already spotted on influencer Alyssa Coscarelli and Kendall Jenner during NYFW.
Cropped cardigan, anyone? Danielle Prescod's pearl-adorned version looks like the perfect fall top to wear with jeans, so consider it already added to our cart.
NYC girls stan a comfortable shoe like no one else. Moda Operandi's Women's Fashion Director Lisa Aiken is partial to Birkenstock's sleek black slides.
Who What Wear's own market editor Nicole wore a WWW team favorite, Agolde's Pinch Waist Jeans, with one of the prettiest tops we've ever seen. No really, Nicole had to convince us that her top wasn't designer, that's how good it is.
WWW editor in chief Kat Collings chose a few affordable mainstays—black sunglasses from Le Specs and a patchwork knit—to accessorize her colorful fashion week 'fit.
Our fashion editor Lauren leaned into the cow-print trend with a midi skirt that magically clocks in at under $300, which she wore with a not-so-basic tank top from Australian brand With Jéan.
You just can't go wrong with a classic pair of Converse kicks, even for fashion week.
Another amazing Staud item we spotted in our street style galleries was Nicole's snakeskin mules, which happen to complement her all-black outfit flawlessly.
More fun and affordable accessories from Kat here! A leather (!) scarf and platform sandals that have her channeling Laura Ingalls Wilder with a subtle nod to the '90s.
Alert: Sami Miro just made UGG slippers look chic for fashion week, and now things will never be the same.
The Zoe Report's senior fashion editor, Aemilia Madden, leaned into the animal print with not one but two surprisingly affordable pieces.
TBH, if I didn't know it, I'd think these cowboy boots were designer. Yep, they're that good.
We spotted Coveteur's senior beauty editor, Hannah Baxter, in a pair of skater-inspired check-print pants from Holiday the Label.
