I'm Heading to NYC Next Month—Here Are 35 Winter Things on My Packing List
I have plans to visit NYC for Thanksgiving, and I’ve already been thinking about which items to add to my New York packing list. I used to live in NYC, but I’m out of practice now that I live in L.A.—especially when it comes to dressing for cold winter days. With that in mind, I came up with a handy list of pieces to pack in my suitcase next month.
The packing list has a mix of winter staples I already own, like tailored coats and turtlenecks, and some trend-forward pieces of the moment that are sitting in my cart. That includes everything from chunky platform boots and shearling jackets to cargo pants and colorful striped knits. Ahead, see the pieces that have landed on my New York packing list.
A tailored coat is a winter staple that'll be the first piece going in my suitcase.
Mark my words: It's going to be the winter of shearling.

These puffer jackets actually save you when it's freezing outside.
This isn't warm enough on its own for winter, but it's perfect to layer underneath a coat.
