I'm Shopping These Cool New Brands for My Next Wedding-Guest Dress
Ever attended a wedding only to discover that there are at least a couple of people wearing the same dress as you? There's no shame in this, but if you're really keen on wearing something unique (especially if you've agonised over what you're going to wear), it can be a little disappointing. The solution is pretty simple: Have a hunt around for the latest dress brands that are starting to get popular and voilà—you're no longer dressed the same as anyone. But who actually has the time to do all that research? Luckily it's my job, so I'm able to spend a decent amount of time finding the coolest dress brands every editor I know currently wears.
Les Rêveries—created by New York–based sisters Ai Ly and Wayne Lee—has only been going for a couple of seasons, but it's already shot up to the top of my list of dresses I'd love to own. Then there's Copenhagen designer Cecilie Bahnsen, who created her eponymous label in 2015 and has started to take off all over Instagram, with the likes of Anna Vitiello and Pernille Teisbaek wearing her designs. The dresses are often big creations with balloon sleeves and are seriously fun.
There are also plenty of floaty frock brands that are ideal for destination weddings. Then there are long-sleeved frocks that are great for those chillier spring weddings in the UK. But if you're a fan of the more traditional floral pieces, then we've also got you covered. While most of these brands are on the more expensive side, I'm not suggesting for one minute that spending up to £800 on a dress is an everyday occurrence. However, I am saying that buying a dress you really love and want to keep forever is actually a great investment. Keep scrolling to see the new dress brands you'll love.
Les Rêveries
On the hunt for your new favourite floral dress? Look no further than this brand created by sister duo Ai Ly and Wayne Lee. You can expect fun, floral prints with a twist.
Rotate Birger Christensen
Created with stylists Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars, this Danish brand is a place to find fun dresses with bold sleeves and prints. The minis are ideal for dancing well into the night.
Cecilie Bahnsen
Thanks to Copenhagen Fashion Week, Instagram has been flooded with the latest looks from Cecilie Bahnsen's collection. This brand is one to go to for puffy dresses that are as fun as they are cool. Also ideal for hiding the fact that you went for thirds at the wedding buffet.
Bec + Bridge
A celebrity favourite, Bec + Bridge is the sort of label you go to for when you need super-sassy dresses.
Horror Vacui
If you're into super-floral dresses, might we suggest Horror Vacui? The designs are perfect for any kind of wedding.
Stine Goya
Dream dress brand Stine Goya is a Who What Wear office favourite. I mean, come on, just look at them.

Art Dealer
Art Dealer offers up traditional silhouettes with a twist. While the below blue dress might be "just" a shirtdress, the cutout at the back and the bold colour make it wedding guest-worthy. Wear with gold accessories and a fabulous hat.
Bernadette
Another winning brand we've seen on Instagram a lot right now is Bernadette. From chic floral wrap dresses to slinky midis, these are bound to make a statement at any wedding you attend.

Marcia
I've only recently stumbled across this brand but I love its more '90s-style silhouettes. That red dress is crying out for someone to wear it to a wedding when they know they'll bump into their ex.
Maggie Marilyn
We haven't been able to stop thinking about the dresses from Maggie Marilyn. While the designs are uncluttered, there are details such as a little belt or ruched sleeves that make these silk dresses total winners.
SISTER JANE
One of the least expensive dress brands on this list, Sister Jane is a place to go for super girly dresses. From bubblegum pink smock dresses to mint mini dresses that will look great with sandals or boots, head here for frocks that are pure fun.
