I Think These New Items Have the Potential to Become My Wardrobe Go-Tos
I look at a lot of fashion products on a regular basis given my role as an editor. When I'm doing research for my various stories, I get the most excited when I uncover something that has the power to become a true wardrobe go-to. I'm referring to staples that are modern, trend-forward, and versatile. And let me just say that the latest drop from our namesake line, Who What Wear Collection, has a culmination of pieces that fit within that wardrobe-staple criteria.
Below, you'll get a sense of the specific items I'm into and that I think you'll love as well. The pieces included in the edit are front-runners and could become new closet staples because they can be styled with so many different items to create a range of standout looks. For reference, the first knit you'll see is already a favorite of mine that I'm wearing with trousers and jeans.
Keep scrolling to check out seven new pieces to consider, complete with visual inspiration from our fashion editors.
Button-Up Sweater
This is basically my idea of the perfect sweater right now. It's modern, yet it feels incredibly timeless with the button details, ribbed fabric, and slouchy sleeves. You can dress it up or down.
The beauty of this sweater is it looks just as flawless with jeans as it would with trousers or a skirt.
Modern Suit
A relaxed suit is a go-to for so many because of its effortless and easy nature. Slip into a suit like this, and you'll look instantly polished and sophisticated. You could also invest in just the blazer or pants to style with your favorite separates.
Ribbed Turtleneck
A turtleneck is one of those trusty basics that just works. You could pair one with a coordinating skirt (as shown here) or layer it under a blazer with trousers, with jeans, and so on. The styling possibilities are endless.
The addition of the chain belt takes this turtleneck-and-skirt silhouette to the next level.
Leather Trousers
If you were to ask fashion people for a strong alternative to jeans, many would likely say leather trousers. These vegan-leather pants are gorgeous and are just as versatile and easy as denim.
Tuck a forward knit into the black trousers for a simple and elevated look.
Matching Set
You just can't go wrong with a chic matching set to make getting dressed easy. Similar to the suiting situation above, you can slip into a set like this and add a pair of shoes, and you're good to go.
The loose pants bring an extra-comfy feel to this look.
White Shirt
A white blouse could easily be considered a closet hero because you can basically wear it with anything, and it just works.
Relaxed Sweats
If you're looking to add a comfy addition to your wardrobe, consider a relaxed sweatshirt. It's quite polished with wide-leg trousers and square-toe flats, as shown here. You could also try one with coordinating sweatpants. (Those are featured below.)
