Yeah, yeah, we know we're ALL still wearing our chokers. And yes, Alexa Chung did say the end was nigh for the popular '90s jewellery trend way back in April (the horror!), but we're here to tell you that the rumours about the choker saying cheerio may be true. The necklace trend du jour takes a more layered approach. In fact, it's not one single piece exactly, rather it's many items put together. And the person who's heralded this change? Gigi Hadid.
Over the weekend, Hadid posted up her latest mood board on Instagram, which featured Man Repeller's Leandra Medine and a picture of her many layered necklaces. The pieces were all gold but with varying types of chains, some with pendants or charms and some without. But they all had one feature in common: They were all slim and delicate.
The look is all about wearing necklaces that are elegant to enhance your summer tan and your clavicles. Ensure you show them off by wearing a loose T-shirt or an open shirt. Thankfully, Medine isn't the only blogger wearing it right now, as we spotted that both Lucy Williams and Maja Wyh are also sporting the trend. Saying goodbye to your choker doesn't seem so bad now, does it?
