When It Comes to Comfort, These 7 Underwear Brands Reign Supreme
I’ll admit it. I’m somewhat of a lingerie snob, especially when it comes to panties and underwear bottoms. There’s nothing worse than overpriced, uncomfortable undergarments that don’t feel great and can actually ruin your outfit, which we don’t want. Oftentimes, people overlook the fact that undergarments are key to having a stylish wardrobe. I’ve seen way too many looks ruined by underwear lines or underwear peeking out, but not to worry—there are seven underwear brands that always get the job done. These seven are the backbone of my underwear collection, and coming from someone who is a self-proclaimed panty snob, you’re going to want to check these out.
Keep scrolling to see which underwear brands I swear by.
Victoria’s Secret/Pink
For decades now, Victoria’s Secret has been one of the most iconic lingerie brands. I’ll never forget being in middle school and begging my mom to let me go into Victoria’s Secret and pick out a few pairs of panties and a body mist to take home and feeling like it was my first step into womanhood. Known for its sexy lingerie pieces and push-up bras that give you unreal cleavage, the brand has a large section of everyday underwear that I find myself wearing round the clock. The seamless panties especially are so comfortable and flattering. If you haven’t given them a try yet, I recommend running, not walking, to place your order.
Shop Victoria's Secret/Pink:
Skims
Kim Kardashian’s underwear/loungewear brand has amassed a cult following like I’ve never seen, and I get it. Once I tried my first pair of Fits Everybody panties, I was hooked. These are seriously comfortable, the fabric is buttery smooth, and the high-cut waistline is the gift that keeps on giving. Whether you like boy shorts, thongs, or cheeky briefs, Skims has you covered. If you’re looking for underwear that comes in tones of skin tone–like shades and doesn’t show any lines, look no further.
Hanky Panky
Every fashion person I know has a few pairs of Hanky Panky undies in their undergarment collection. A favorite for celebrities too, Hanky Panky panties are so comfortable and chic. I love the little lace detailing on the panties, making them just a touch sexier than your normal go-to panty. This is another brand that has a cult following for a reason. I know people who claim to only wear Hanky Panky.
Journelle
This female-driven lingerie company makes some of the prettiest lingerie I’ve ever seen. Think of these as date-night underwear or something you would wear on a special occasion. You can tell that this brand is made by women and for women with an emphasis on making lingerie that works just as hard as you do. If you’re a lingerie lover like me, you’re going to want to get your hands on some Journelle pieces.
Calvin Klein
Who doesn’t love a good pair of Calvin Klein underwear? It is one of the most iconic underwear brands, and let’s be honest. We all want to live our "My Calvins campaign” fantasy just a little bit. I’m personally a huge fan of the bra-and-underwear sets. They’re the perfect combination of comfortable and sexy.
Natori
Here's another female-founded lingerie company that I adore. Based in NYC and loved by the fashion community, these undergarments are all about comfort. Natori feels like luxury and has the perfect mix of everyday and special-occasion underwear.
Wacoal
If you’re looking for soft and smooth underwear, look no further. Wacoal offers a wide variety of shapewear, bras, and undergarments. I recently tried its Soft Lace High-Leg Panties, and I was obsessed. The brand is sold at many of your favorite retailers like Nordstrom and Shopbop, so if you haven’t tried Wacoal yet, I can’t recommend it enough.
