I'm No Makeup Artist, But I'm Obsessed With This £16 Product

If you were to take a look through my beauty stash, it would quickly become evident that, while my love for certain makeup items is undeniable—the sheer quantity of tomato-red lipsticks and liquid highlighters in my dressing table speaks volumes—it's obvious that I'm a skincare girl at heart. That's not to say that makeup doesn't bring me joy; the cheer-inducing benefits of a vibrant eyeliner or bright shadow shouldn't be underappreciated. However, while basic makeup products like foundations and concealers usually make their way into my rotation, I tend to swiftly donate more adventurous products—I'm talking glitter eye shadow and holographic highlighter—to friends who will show them a little more love.

So it's as much a surprise to me as it is to anyone that a new launch from Morphe 2, the cool Gen Z sub-brand of U.S. makeup brand Morphe, has not only caught my attention but also taken up permanent residence in my makeup bag. Enter: Morphe 2 Quad Goals (£16).

Described by the brand as a multi-palette, Quad Goals is a portable stack of four products for eyes, cheeks, lips and face in a variety of colours and finishes. It essentially helps you create a full makeup look without having to tote around a huge arsenal of separate products. Each multi-palette contains a powder eye shadow, powder blush, cream lipstick and either a cream highlighter or chunky face glitter. And while a simple makeup artist–inspired illustration on the bottom of the stack shows you where to apply each product for a tonal face look, the thing that I love most about this multi-palette is how intuitive it is. Just dip your finger or brush into your pigment and apply wherever the mood takes you. It's reminded me just how fun experimenting with makeup can be.

Stay Golden

My pick of the bunch has to be Stay Golden, which I'd describe as J.Lo in a palette. Inside, you'll find a shimmering honey eye shadow, a soft terracotta blush, a '90s-inspired taupe lipstick and a megawatt gold glitter with flecks so chunky they almost look like sequins when pressed onto your eyelids (so fab!). Admittedly, I wouldn't step out with the glitter on my face for an everyday-makeup look, but it would look incredibleon those of you attending festivals this summer. It also looks lovely patted over the honey eye shadow if you want to dial up the sparkle.

Pink Please

Pink Please is the subtlest offering in the collection, and it's the one I see myself wearing most often. If you're looking for a set of colours to use regularly, then I'd highly recommend it. The soft, metallic rose eye shadow, petal blush, sheer pink lip tint and pearly highlighter create a seriously pretty makeup look that I can't get enough of.

Violet Vibes

It was the incredible holographic lilac glitter that spoke to me in this quad. Sure, I have no idea where I'll wear it, but the sheer joy of applying silvery, sequinned glitter to my eyelids on a Sunday afternoon made it worth the wear. Perhaps the most Gen Z of all the shade selections, Violet Vibes definitely errs on the experimental end of my makeup comfort zone, but I was surprised at how wearable some of the colours actually are. The shimmering lavender eye shadow is beautiful and has totally changed my mind about purple eye shadow. There's also an orchid-hued blush, a glossy berry lipstick and, of course, the aforementioned amethyst glitter. For me, this quad has major '80s vibes, and I'm very much here for it.

Fresh Peach

Finally, Fresh Peach is like the subtle sister of Stay Golden. I've found myself gravitating towards this quad on sunny summer days thanks to the orange-toned colours and sheeny finishes, which help to create a subtly sun-kissed makeup look. Inside, you'll find an eye-brightening pearly eye shadow, a lively peach blush, a rich coral lipstick and a warm highlighter. I particularly love pressing the coral lip colour onto my cheeks to amp up the glow.
