High-Street Shoes on the Runway? Thank You for That, Molly Goddard

There were many things to love about Molly Goddard’s spring/summer 2019 collection, and our appreciation really ran the gamut. From Adwoa Aboah in a frilly green gingham smock any birthday girl would dream of partying in to the fact that cabbages were carried instead of clutch bags, it surely was a spectacle. For context on the latter, the setting was a bustling, makeshift market (perhaps imagined with the Caribbean in mind rather than Covent Garden).

Goddard’s signature bouncy dresses came in unexpected colours and with less pious necklines. And we rather enjoyed the cotton co-ords of shirts and shorts, as well as the retro floral dresses dotted with jumbo corsages. And then we get to the shoes: cute square-toed flats and posh minimalistic flip-flops, all made in collaboration with Charles & Keith, one of our favourite new additions to the affordable fashion offering in the UK. We gave you the heads-up on this online Singapore accessories label (known for its simple, everyday bags and shoes that always feature a design twist or four), and now it’s made it onto the streets as well as the runways of London. Keep reading to see more of Molly’s collection, and shop Charles & Keith shoes while you’re at it.
