These Are the Sports Bras You'll Actually Enjoy Wearing
I used to have such a love-hate relationship with sports bras. I obviously knew they were necessary (hello, support!), but I also felt that they were super restrictive and too tight. Don't even get me started on taking them off after an especially difficult and sweaty workout.
In recent years, though, sports bras have actually gotten pretty cute and comfortable. These newer ones are just so much better because many are made with softer or more flexible fabrics, are easier to move in, and have some stylish moments. The latter part especially comes in handy these days because it seems that the workout look is a pair of leggings and a sports bra—hold the tank top or T-shirt.
Since I've been working out every day for the past five months, I realized I have a set of nonnegotiables I'm looking for in a sports bra. One, it has to be supportive yet comfortable enough to move in. Two, it doesn't hurt if it's got a cute print or a unique silhouette. And three, it's got to be moisture-wicking. Who wants to feel completely drenched in sweat when you're only halfway through a workout?
If you're looking for some new moisture-wicking sports bras, I've compiled a list of some of my favorites and other highly rated ones below. Happy workout!
1. Athleta Ultimate Bra
This bra is made of recycled nylon, and it pulls sweat away from the body. It also has a racerback design for breathability and to help you move.
2. Outdoor Voices Doing Things Bra
Whenever I wear my Outdoor Voices sports bras, I always feel supported and comfortable. This one is made of a lightweight, sweat-wicking fabric that has a mesh panel at the back to cool you down.
3. Alo Yoga Airlift Suit Up Bra
Designed for medium-impact workouts, this sports bra is both comfortable and stylish. It's also easy to personalize it to fit you just right because it has adjustable straps and removable cups.
4. Girlfriend Collective Midnight Simone Bra
I'm just so obsessed with Girlfriend Collective's activewear. The fabric is always so soft and comfy, and the products are made from recycled water bottles. The Simone Bra is perfect for HIIT classes and has crisscross straps and a hook-and-eye closure.
5. Nike Swoosh Dri-Fit Racerback Sports Bra
Made with Nike's signature Dri-Fit fabric, this sports bra is super moisture-wicking. Wear it for medium-impact workouts like running, cardio, or strength training.
6. Wacoal Contour Underwire Sports Bra
If you're looking for an underwire option, this highly rated one from Wacoal is a good pick. The sports bra is designed for medium-impact workouts and has breathable cups.
7. Zella Body Fusion Sports Bra
A lot of people like a high-neck silhouette for even more coverage and support. This sports bra has the right amount of compression and a cutout halter back for some breathability.
8. Sweaty Betty Stamina Sports Bra
Some activewear isn't breathable, but not this sports bra. It's got supportive compression, but it's also easy to move in because of its seamless features. The fabric dries quickly, too.
9. Core 10 Spectrum Long-Line Strappy Cross Back Yoga Sports Bra
Designed for yoga and other studio classes, this sports bra is made of medium-weight, sweat-wicking, and super-soft fabric.
10. Lululemon Enlite Bra Zip Front High Support
Runners, take note: This sports bra has got you. The fabric is smooth, highly supportive, quick-drying, and breathable. Plus, it's got a zip-front closure, which makes it so easy to put on and take off.
11. Adidas x Stella McCartney TruePurpose Cutout Perforated Recycled Stretch Sports Bra
The medium-support bra has a cutout racerback and breathable mesh lining so you won't overheat. The moisture-wicking fabric is made with recycled fibers.
12. Athleta Conscious Crop
You'll be so surprised at how quickly this fabric dries, so you don't have to worry about any extreme sweat sessions. This cropped-fit bra works for yoga or studio classes and is made of the softest fabric.
13. FP Movement It's an Illusion Crop
Here's another zip-front option for you. It's designed for high-impact workouts, with sweat-wicking channels and a breathable cutout back.
14. Glamorise Elite Adjustable Underwire Sports Bra
You're getting two sports bras in one with this piece. It has an adjustable panel, so you can customize your compression fit for both low- and high-intensity workouts.
15. Under Armour HeatGear Mid Impact Crossback Sports Bra
You can wear this one for medium-impact workouts like cycling, weight training, and boxing. It also has removable cups and crisscross straps in the back.
16. Champion Freedom Seamless Racerback Sport Bra
When you're doing a sweaty workout, you'll be happy that this bra has mesh ventilation to keep you cool and dry. The wide band and seamless design make it so comfortable to wear.
17. P.E Nation Jump Shot Recycled Stretch Sports Bra
This sports bra is made from recycled stretch nylon. But my favorite thing is how comfortable it is thanks to its reinforced under-band and comfortable straps.
