Guys, I Need to Talk About Mindy Kaling's Amazing Style
It's easy to love Mindy Kaling for her sense of humor—including her eternally funny references to The Office—as well as her support of other women and causes she believes in. But as a fashion editor, of course, I'm focused on one thing: her amazing style. Often styled by Jason Bolden, Kaling always steps out in looks I'd wear in a heartbeat, from glittering red carpet dresses to sleek trench coats.
If you're one of Kaling's 3.8 million Instagram followers, you know Kaling has a strong interest in fashion and kindly tags everything she wears for her fans, who no doubt furiously google everything she features. "One of my favorite things to do is to play stylist and find new ways to look fashionable without putting in much effort," Kaling captioned one of her Instagrams. "I've taken a basic jeans and tee outfit and styled it 4 different ways...on my stories now!" That post perfectly describes Kaling's chic but approachable outlook on fashion that I love her for.
Next, I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve for her promotional tour for Late Night, the upcoming movie she wrote, produced, and stars in. But in the meantime, without further ado, scroll down to see nine stellar outfits that represent Mindy Kaling's style and shop the looks for yourself.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
