There was a time not too long ago when the fashion world was all about the miniskirt, à la Paris Hilton or Linsday Lohan circa 2005. Then thanks to the bohemian trend (and in large part, to the Olsen twins), it was all about the maxi skirt. Fast-forward to present day, and there's a new skirt style in town that fashion girls can't get enough of—the midi. Hitting somewhere below the knee but above the ankle, the midi has proven to be the most viral clothing piece of the year.
In my opinion, the midi skirt is one of the most flattering styles that can be worn in countless different ways. One swipe through Instagram tells me I'm not the only one who thinks so—our WWW readers can't quit this style either. After browsing through their snaps, I'm going to go ahead and call this the skirt of summer 2018. Our readers are pairing theirs with everything from button-downs and slides to sweaters and sneakers. If you're looking for fresh ways to style yours, take a scroll below and prepare to be inspired.
This is an outfit combo I'll be wearing well into fall.
